The speedy bag is one of those bags that I have had my eyes
on for a while. I cannot really place that moment in time when I made the firm
decision to have the Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 in collection. I remember aspiring
to minimalism at some point in time and thinking that I would need to have a
small collection of transcendental and timeless bags in my possession to curb
my incessant need to constantly acquire season-specific purchases. Anyway, the
bottom line is that I set my sights on this bag. I scoured the internet for
people in support of my opinion that this was a classic bag that would suit my
needs perfectly.
It was on my list for 2016, as one of the items that I just
had to have. Not to make a long story longer, I now have the beautiful item in
my possession. But funny enough, getting this bag has taught some very
important lessons.
A BAG IS A BAG IS A BAG
Sometimes we push our happiness into the future. We tell
ourselves that when we get to a certain point in our lives, we will be happy.
Sometimes we get that first spark of joy, but material possessions are not
sufficient to keep that spark going. A bag is a bag is a bag. The trick is to
be happy every step of the way. This is something I keep having to remind
myself and I find that I am happier this way.
ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS ASK
Literally, all you have to do is ask. I am not saying that
we get everything we ask for, but honestly if we do not ask, then we never
know. My bag was a gift by the way and I am grateful for wonderful people.
YOU GO ONLY AS HIGH AS YOUR STANDARDS
I appreciate Tony Robbins for always emphasizing that we
need to raise our standards. We get this one life here and there’s no need to
waste a precious gift such as this on an ordinary life. Live out loud and
spectacularly.
This is a great post here.
Have a lovely weekend!
